Even though you won’t get that “sway” you may be looking for in a hammock, this is extremely comfortable because you will get that wonderful sensation of “sinking” into it. It seems to be quite durable and is very easy to get in and out of (which is the disadvantage of other hammocks.) So comfy that I’ve fallen asleep in it several times! The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is that I do wish the pillow were a little more substantial and that there were a way to attach it so it doesnt’ keep slipping off. No too big a deal, though, I just use a regular pillow for the ultimate in comfort anyway.
This hammock is a good buy for the money. We got 2 so the grandson could have one of his own when he comes to visit. One of them broke on the bottom bar that goes across, have no idea what happened since it wasn’t moved once we unpacked it and put it on the patio. A replacement arrived very quickly, and we’ve had no problems with either. We’ll be going camping in a couple weeks and plan on taking these with us, so we’ll see how they do being packed up and set up somewhere else. They are a bit heavy, but not so much they can’t be carried easily for storage or transport. Overall, we’re satisfied with the purchase, and would recommend this to someone looking for a portable item to kick back in on a warm lazy day.

there’s not alot of slack in the hammock. Other than that I really like it and plan
to use it as often as possible.
this is super easy to unfold and refold, so in that respect it’s “portable”. but don’t think you’ll be able to sling it over your shoulder to walk from your car to the local festival or park for an afternoon lounge. it’s VERY HEAVY.
this hammock is very comfortable and the colors are great. the construction is very well built, which is probaby why it’s so heavy.
if you need a hammock that will pack for a camping trip (that you don’t have to hike to) or use in your back yard and stow away easily, i highly recommend this one.
I was blown away at the sheer quality of this product. It is heavy and well made. Of course, from a company such as Strathwood, you would come to expect it. Alas, this item is heavy and for me it is pretty cumbersome to move around. The great thing is when you find that perfect spot in the sun and set it up. It takes all of 10 seconds to put together and will last many years. This does impart a womb type of feel, but without any sway. I love the feeling when laying in the sun and reading a book. This was a great buy and I am glad I did so. On another note, I am pretty sure you could use this as a cot for camping. It is very sturdy and larger than a normal cot.
